We ask Joy some questions.
How Have You Been Involved?
Front of House Team.
What Roles Have You Played?
My main responsibility is usually the sale of tickets on the door on
show nights, collection of reserved tickets and keeping tally of last
minute ticket availability. I collect birthday, anniversary and any
special messages for the Dame to read out during the second half. I also
fold most of the thousands of raffle tickets sold before the shows and
during the interval as well as wand waving in the aisles with other
members of the front of house team during the musical numbers. At the
end of each show I then hand out a "goody bag" to each child as they
leave and listen to all the wonderful comments the audience make as they
leave.
Why Did You Join The Hunstanton Panto?
I initially started helping just for a few shows as my husband Tony was
part of the cast but I now help at every show and love seeing my
husband, daughter Liz and also granddaughter Elise (who is one of the
children in the chorus) performing. It is fascinating watching the
shows evolve from initial line learning through to dress rehearsal and
the performance. I never tire of watching the show 7-8 times each year.

What Has Been Your Best Moment?
I have fond memories of every pantomime and each one seems to go from strength to strength.
Your Last Comment?
I thoroughly enjoy being part of a close knit team who clearly enjoy
performing together and giving up their spare time over the festive
period to entertain the local community. It is a pleasure to be part of
the Panto Family.
In Which Shows Have You Been Involved?
I have been involved in The Magical Puss in Boots 2011, Pinocchio 2012, The Frog Prince 2013 and Hansel & Gretel's Big Adventure 2014.
