We ask John some questions.
How Have You Been Involved?
Cast Member.
What Roles Have You Played?
I have played the Sheriff’s Henchman in Robin Hood Norfolk Style 2010, The evil Lord Chancellor in The Magical Puss In Boots 2011, Strombolli in Pinocchio 2012, Bill the Frog Catcher in The Frog Prince 2013 and Snatcher the Child Catcher in Hansel and Gretel's Big Adventure 2014.
Why Did You Join The Hunstanton Panto?
It was the year the panto was
taken away from Hunstanton, I had just finished a play at the Princess Theatre and was looking forward to a quiet Christmas when the phone rang
to ask me if I would be interested in doing panto that year. It had
been a while since I did one, so I jumped at the chance and the rest as
they say is history.
What Has Been Your Best Moment?
The best and funniest
moments are way too many to mention but the highlights for me have to be
the sing-a-long with the kids. You never know what your gonna get from
them it really keeps you on your toes. Rehearsals always pull up some gems and of course staying within
the boundaries of the script can be a challenge which not all of us
manage. Every show turns out differently depending on the audience which is also fun and the add libs keep it fresh and interesting too. The funniest moment for me to date has to be while waiting in the
oven with the witch to be burned in Hansel and Gretel's Big Adventure 2014 with the stage crew waiting to
litteraly drag us out, I cant go into too much detail because what
happens in the oven stays in the oven . . . hahaha.

Your Last Comment?
When you get new or young
people, especially the young people join and they are all shy and quiet
and won't say boo to a goose and then within weeks you see the confidence
grow and they really come out of their shells it give you a real sense
of pride. Also young people of today get a real bad rap but the youth
involved with us are real stand up kids and a credit to their
generation. So if you like cold evenings and meeting strange people come and
join us . . . you wont regret it, well maybe a
little . . . mwhahahahaha.
